@gmaterre....thank you so much for the kind words and covering my back. Sorry i'm late in responding, been at my sisters. I don't worry about comments, I just consider the source. I've enjoyed your videos.
even tho i got all my vaccinations i still wear a mask in public, just look at the kind of people u can be standing right next to in line somewhere .. .. ..
Riverrat55, this is one of Al Green's best known songs. I saw him in person at at concert in SLC in 2002. I was 1st in line to have my DVD autographed. I was slightly dizzy and shaky ( I've got hand tremors). He was so concerned that he wanted to buy me something to eat. I declined. But what a great memory.
Riverrat55, I can't believe I got Al Wilson's name wrong. I'm surely getting old. I have CRS you see-- Can't Remember Shit. Sorry about that. But the story is true.
gmaterre , we will forgive you this time...... Don't feel bad didn't even notice it , I have selective eyesite only see things when I want to or when not paying attention , roflmao
kat14, I absolutely love your video on the cat singing (all I knead) and was afraid that it would disappear someday when this post is shortened, or whatever they do when they get long. Anyway, I found it on You Tube! And...I also listened to the Menopause Rhapsody....that is hilarious. If I knew how to post it I would!!!! .... but I don't. Hint..Hint.
just here: I didn't know how either. I just took a chance. Underneath the youtube it says "share". Click that and you see a URL that says "copy". Click that and paste it into the comment box here. It worked.
The Menopause one was the first one of her parodies that I came across. (but I like the cat one better -- I must have watched it 2 dozen times.) I liked the kitten itself and think she did a great job animating it. It's not perfect, but it fits.
kat14, thank you so much for posting this. I think it's so funny but, like you, the "cat" is my favorite. I've watched it 6 times now. In your explanation I understood the "share" part, but you lost me when you got to "paste". Sorry, I'm just not that computer literate. But, again, thank you for posting this.
Justhere, I'm computer challenged as well. But posting stuff from YouTube is easy peasy. Like kat14 said, click on share, then copy link. Then go to comments in the thread. Click the comment 's box. Hold down the l until it says paste. Then click on paste. When you click on post comment, the video should appear. Good luck
Riverrat55 as usual, great video. Kat14, the menopause video is getting sent to my oldest daughter who is currently going through the change. I think she'll get a kick out of it. Thanks folks.
kat14...I certainly appreciate the answer..."copy link, thread, paste"...thanks to you, too, gmaterre. But, sorry, folks, it's still just not computing (no pun intended)..so we'll just let this sleeping dog lie...ok? . But, hurrah to everyone else who knows how to do it because I sure do appreciate all of the videos!
homedoggy , nice tribute in Paddy's passing as did some research and listen to a little of his music. Thanks! Hello my friend graeme , hope all is well across the pond and everyones family mentioned here. Stay Safe
Hello riverrat55.Nice to hear from you.All fine here.I do like the Chieftains and the Whisky...good combination for a foot-tapper.Hope you and you'r mam are well and regards to my fellow greenfelters.Play on! I'm sure Paddy will.
tucsonsky, I finally figured out that I had a new message. I don't know how to respond privately so I'll just say "thank you". . (However, your message was incomplete and ended with "ur a"....so I'm hoping you were saying "a nice person" and not "a computer illiterate old bag.) 😂
howdy graeme, there's a movie about Billie Holiday called The United States vs Billie Holiday .. .. .. u can it stream on HULU and several other tv apps, it gives good background and history of this amazingly talented woman, portrayed beautifully by Andra Day
Hello tucsonsky. Thanks for that.I'll see if I can get hold of it.Read a lot about her life and very sad ending. It's a unique voice.Like so many she died too soon.Take care.
You're welcome. I spotted it while I was checking out some Bonnie Tyler. Shirley also has done one with a dog choir singing "I Will Follow You ". Shirley's first parody I heard was called Menopause.
Here's the choir singing "I Will Follow You "
Thanks, gmaterre! I love Shirley's parodies. I think she does a marvelous job, especially with her animals. It's almost believable. This is her Christmas 2021 (with pets)
i like watching these old films & videos from a time before cameras were everywhere .. .. .. the performers were loose and for real, less polished, their expressions more sincere .. .. .. happy to have found this jazz-based rock song with strong vocals and thoughtful lyrics
This is an awesome thread. Almost 4 years running. It's good to see some of the familiar names...homedoggy, riverrat, graeme, barzonymous, sierrarose, etc

remember when Billy Idol seemed so edgy and scary? today he looks like the kid baggin' groceries at the albertson's down the road, with fewer tats!
@gmaterre....thank you so much for the kind words and covering my back. Sorry i'm late in responding, been at my sisters. I don't worry about comments, I just consider the source. I've enjoyed your videos.

riverrat55, love this....particularly the talking, ghoul dancing tree on the left side. Everything is so very impressive, though.

riverrat55 -- Loved the Monster Mash! Brought back high school memories. Of course, we didn't have the graphics back then...
justhere -- It looks like your questions got answered before I got back. Anyway, on most computers, in the edit menu there is also a "paste".

Asked and answered.
Didn't now if this should go down for the dance quality or the song. Both are exceptional.

Only Peewee Herman could have pulled that off. Thanks homedoggy.
Ahhh! a little Mezcal , very smooth the worm inside bottle makes it better. Thanks homedoggy , hope Peewee had a few shots before entering biker bar.
