Tribal Fusion is a global mash-up of dance and body movement seen in bedouin tents, cabarets, on inner city streets, and then some .. .. .. this dancer is from Russia
barzonymous, that was an excellent video....loved it!! And, homedoggy, your video was hilarious!! Great way to start my Saturday. Thanks to both of you.
barzonymous, that was spectacular with Rita and Fred...and if she wasn't singing that song, that was some first-class dubbing for that time period. I loved the Nicolas Brothers, too. What wonderful energy. I just simply love the talent all of these dancers show. gmaterre, what a lovely surprise. I wasn't really aware (or didn't remember) that Bob Hope and James Cagney were such great dancers! Thanks to both of you. I'm enjoying the living daylights out of these videos!!
This is probably a dance team most of you don't know-but watch how strong he is and how balletic she is. Georges and Jalna. This is a scene from a Jimmy Stewart movie. She was Native American -they were married, opened their own dance club and were amazing:
Dancing. Such a great talent. School dances when I was in high school already had moves that required little effort (perhaps the exception being break dancing, but whether it is really dancing is a debate for another time 😒). Real dancing is something I wish I could do. Took beginning American Ballroom Dancing in college with dismal results. But my love for great dancing is neverending.
dance is simply the movement of the body with rhythm, u don't need music, u don't need a partner, and u sure don't need to do 15th century euro-centric movements to qualify as a dancer .. .. .. u don't even need feet .. .. ..
in paso doble, the lead (Michal Malitowski) represents the bullfighter, his partner (Joanna Leunis) represents the cape .. .. .. often u will see lots of flash and glitz in these dances, but here, substance and creative expression rule .. .. ..
Who knew that following the pleasures of Greenfelt - what a great adventure you would lead me to, tucsonsky. Thank you for starting Let's Dance. With various clicks, I also viewed, contortionists, gymnasts, Cirque de Soleil, America's (and Britain's) Got Talent, etc. Hope you can find the 80 year old lady and her partner dancing. Incredible!
Yesterday, MSN had a feature called "The Best Dance Scenes in Movie History". Enjoy.
life is indeed an adventure, Kenyon, what a privilege it is to meet a kindred spirit .. .. .. and thank u for leading me to 80-year old Paddy who says "as long as people enjoy what we do and we can bring them pleasure" .. .. .. that's what its all about, yee haw!!! 🤠

Thanks tucsonsky and homedoggy. I really enjoyed the entertainment!
Ditto...what Kenyon said. I enjoyed both of the videos very much. However, those old musicals with all the dancing are just really up my alley.
Blood pressure went up a bit there. Thanks to you both.Good start to the day.
Or...if you like the Ramones

Mr. Bojangles (yep, the one Jerry Jeff Walker wrote the song about) and Shirley Temple from The Little Colonel .. .. ..
Thank you. Fred and Rita dancing together is an obsession. She's not singing, but those all all her steps.
And then there are the Nicholas Brothers...
This is dancing don't you agree?

Natalie Woods dancing? How about this?
what if Cleopatra was a break dancer, hmmm .. .. ..
That girl has some mighty fine moves. She must live in front of a mirror perfecting that!

I absolutely knew James Cagney could dance like that, but Bob Hope is a revelation. I know he danced a bit, but not like that.
absolutely fascinating revelation, like finding out the world isn't flat .. .. .. roflmao
don't sit on the sidelines and wait, participate, radiate!!!
I appear to have fallen madly and gladly down a rabbit hole where Fred Astaire is concerned-here with the sublime Cyd Charisse.
Two masters of dance merging styles in a brilliant dance sequence:
i streamed Frasier this summer, from first episode to last, this is my favorite scene .. .. ..
in paso doble, the lead (Michal Malitowski) represents the bullfighter, his partner (Joanna Leunis) represents the cape .. .. .. often u will see lots of flash and glitz in these dances, but here, substance and creative expression rule .. .. ..
just for fun!
