Is there anyway we can opt out of getting the 'GAME RESTORE' feature you just added?

Perhaps knowing why it pops up would make it more tolerable, @jim and @david
It is irritating. Games are restored that I do not remember starting!!
It also is a useless piece of information for me and I suspect other players. What does it matter? I start and stop several games a day.
Which part do you not like? The message being kind of big and garish or the game being restored at all? The former we could address, but we're not inclined to remove the auto save/restore in general (since it solves a real problem).
If you click "Give Up" before you close the page then it won't save anything.
If you come onto the page to a restored game, "New Game" will get you what you want.
The base menu has two options "New Game" and "Game of the Day". They deal different hands.
When I see "Game Restore" (which is, IMHO, "big and garish", if I pick "New Game" will I get the "Game of the Day" or one of those random "New Game"s?
I've been going back to the Leader Board to make sure I'm getting the "Game of the Day" (which is a minor nuisance).
If you're on the game of the day the "Game Of The Day" button gets dimmer and you can't click it. That's really the only indication that you're on it or not.
Clicking "New Game" from a restored game will currently not get you to the game of the day (even if you've never seen it). I agree that's annoying, we'll fix that. Currently what I've been doing when I can't remember if I've played the gotd or not is clicking "Game Of The Day" then "High Scores" to see if I show up. If not, close the high score table and play, if so then I click "New Game". It annoys me every time 🙂, so I'll be motivated to fix it.
I agree that while in a few cases having a game restored is handy, it's generally a rare occurrence. But you guys work so hard to make everyone happy, it's not annoying enough for me to complain.
Suddenly seems back to 'normal' again. Thank you if you changed it. I can get in and out quickly. Wonderful!
