Are all Canfield games winnable

  • Are all generalizations correct?

  • generally speaking: maybe, perhaps, sometimes

  • A definite maybe.

  • No. Not all Canfield games are winnable but many are. The games where no cards, at all, can be moved anywhere, at the start of the game, of course can not. I've found for a game with a score in the teens, chances are it can be won, depending on your determination and patience. A game with a score above 20 most certainly can be won. Winning, often, requires having to figure out how those cards from the stock are going to flip three at a time. Sometimes it's wiser not to play an obvious card but to deal through the stock once or twice to get a better sequence happening. I'm playing Canfield these days...

  • "Canfield is a solitaire card game with a very low probability to win." Quoted from rules on the game site. So do I want to beat my head against the wall, play Canfield, or play 40 Thieves? Probably 40 Thieves...

  • Canfield is a rotten, stinken game!!! :s :'( :| o:)
