Counting score with multiple card moves

Freecell score comes from number of moves. IF moving a stack of [say] 5 cards (for example), is that counted as 5 moves or 1?

    I recall that that’s counted as 5, but really it should be counted as 9: moving 4 cards to the free cells, moving the remaining card to the distinction, then moving the 4 cards back from the free cells to the destination pile.
