Hahaha!
@unnonymous .. I hope that you didn't intend your post as a comedy one, as I lost one sister to Alzheimer's and the other one is in her last stage of it...
This is very disgusting reading about people affected with Alzheimer. Your post should be removed immediately and maybe then you will wake up!
I see the fun police are out in force
I don't appreciate stupid comments fingsaint
Shrugs
Living with someone affected by Alzheimer is very devastating, not only for the immediate family but also the poor person afflicted with this terrible disease.
Alzheimers is one of the most misunderstood diseases we humans face, find out more about it at https://www.alz.org/
I know that from personal experience @cdmusic
However, life goes on.
@fingsaint .. Yes the hurt & grieving of losing someone to that awful disease goes on forever.. and never stops.
Thank you fingsaint !
My mother has parkinson's dementia, and yes, it is very sad sometimes. I guess I just try to always have some space around the experience. If that makes any sense.
I think it is a tragedy that some people make light of such a horrific disease. I have a very dear friend of 50 years who is entering the final stages of the disease. His wife, tho exhausted is a saint. Another dear friend died a few months ago of the same disease. I am in the early stages of it. Grief can last forever especially if you lose a child. We grieve because we love. I would not want to live in a world devoid of love. That in itself means that those who love are vulnerable to pain and grief. No ... Alzheimers is not something to joke about.
Here’s a clue for those of you so offended. It’s not all about you. You are not the center about which the universe orbits. In other words, your personal loss does not define the bounds of humor or taste. So grow a thick skin and blow it off.
This message brought to you by dad. Or it should have been when you were about five years old.
@ Rev
Thank you Rev, your kind words mean a lot to me, and do hope that you know you have some caring friends here on this site also that care about you as you go through your journey.
@Rev, good to hear from you again , hope all is well with you! Thank you for your comments, and grateful for your message of love and caring for those of us that have dealt with numerous medical issues on this site, and that I am getting stronger each day , and my mom is doing better one day at a time. It brings to mind a poem I once read called A Man In the Glass,

Take Care my friend.
@Arborist, i think ur onto something, taking responsibility for ur own feelings and not blaming others for them, that's a mature attitude, a healthy one as well
Also worth calling out that the humor in @unnonymous’ observation is self-deprecating.
Like if one jogger said to his running mate, “Should it bother me that a 90-year-old amputee just passed us?” The joke is on the joke teller, not on nonagenarians or amputees.
I suspect that Al Simer is keeping an eye on his/her cognitive status via game skills, same as I am. Being able to poke a little fun at your own expense is a good skill to have. Lighten up folks!
yeah, i hear that .. .. .. i just hired myself a gorgeous 25 year old gardener to take care of my yard, dark green smoldering eyes, trim muscular body, long brown wavy hair, what a hunk! wouldn't u know, i forgot where i live! wahhhhhhhhh
This is to Arborist: It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt.
@cdmusic: So now you’re the judge not only of what’s disgusting and should be censored but also who is foolish?
Any other conceits of superpowers we should know about?
