The back end server needs to be repaired or replaced. It's not big enough to handle all the activity, all the people and all the games being played, on this site. David and Jim, the owners of this site, are working on this, but it takes time, effort, and expense, to either repair or replace it. Hope this answers your question.

"Yes. We are working on it. The current status is we're waiting on a disk to arrive so that we can move the database to a faster machine. Our database is so big that it takes almost a day to replicate the data. It's also so big that pricing for having someone else host it for us is unacceptably high. Thank you for your hard work. And the hosting of this site. I am someone who really appreciates what you guys are doing for us, especially since I have had a hard time in the past couple of years, and it helps me so much to de-stress by just playing a few games. Self-hypnosis helps a lot, too, But then there is nothing more hypnotic than a few games of Seahaven Towers to take your mind off the troubles of the world. Thanks, again!
set the new server so it will not accept the players who use the speed keys to get a low score instead of using their brain to figure the moves out. ty
I love this game, but am going to stop playing because I can't see my score. "Error" displays after most games.
What are speed keys?
I assume that "speed keys" are just the built in short cuts that are available in the games...such as auto-finish. Some people chose to use that method in which to play. There are also some other ways that allow you to automatically move multiple cards at once.
I tried it once...it left my feeble brain confused as to what went on.
It isn't cheating...it is just one way of playing the game.

I love Green felt freecell; I started at Game 1 and am now up to 63,129 !!!! I've had to look up 2 or 3 solutions. One game was unsolvable I remember. I look forward to it being mended and really appreciate you guys there. Amazing how big Green felt has got over the years. You do an amazing job, and I'd probably wait forever for it (hope I don't have to though). All the very best. Val, aged 81 this nmonth.
