I've never played spider2, but after only 40 minutes or so I finally made the scoreboard. Not the easiest game in the world to even make points. Hope you can get some more worthy competition!
Correction, I've never done more than move the cards around a few deals to determine that it is way above my pay grade.
Great, now I'm hooked. The game of the day today seems more difficult than your game. Just me?
Perhaps I should just play game of the day. But I usually play several games every day, and most of them have a list of other players. Sometimes I'm high up on the board, sometimes not. But every day there are one or two games where it's just me, playing over and over again against myself!
I haven't played spider2 either. Sounds like it simply doesn't have the number of players as the more popular games like Freecell or Klondike. I've been playing Pyramid lately and it's not unusual to be the only (or the first) player. Especially if the play is just past the hour mark, when the random game # strings reset. As the hour goes on more people join in, usually.
far2old thank you for playing with me - I've just been given game # 1168874133 yet again (I never seem to spot that I've played a game before!) and I see that you've joined in.
zudensternen thanks for your comment. It's not just that I'm the only player - it's that they keep giving me the same game over and over, even when I do really well at it. I suppose, as well as some opponents, I would also like some fresh games!
It shouldn't be giving you the same games over and over like that. How do you load greenfelt? Do you have a bookmark in your browser? It's possible it's got a game number in the link which causes that game to come up each time you follow it.
For instance:
https://greenfelt.net/spider2?game=1168874133
vs
https://greenfelt.net/spider2
The first one will take you to that particular game number, the second should take you to a random game*.
* Technically it takes you to the current Game Of The Day if you haven't played it on that browser yet. If you have, or after you've played it it will take you to a series of random games that everybody visiting the site at that time will be playing. That series changes once an hour.
