So the world has now ground to a halt! We would not have had this problem if we had remained with pen and ink and not forgetting the trusty heliograph...............such is progress.On the other hand,I would be playing solitaire with a pack of cards again.Ah well,plod on.Take care

Maybe we should re-define "progress"? Bit of a mess today.
People did it, the machines were told what to do and did it. End game of my corporate life I was "administrative" I asked questions and made suggestions and followed up. Company "A" computer MUST be available 24/7, relatively

THEY - "we see no problems" ME- "you didn't answer my question" MANAGER & IT "we've checked it out, it's fine - we have to apply it tonight" ME - "I am letting corporate know I told you NO"
At 4am I got a phone call. Y2K the only program that crashed was the very first one I installed at my new position
in the 80's - it ran and every one was happy, we even forgot it was there.
