Cards come up so faded, they cannot be read.

The cards fade when the game pauses. Try pressing the pause button and/or playing a bit. Yours is the second report about this, so I suspect the pause feature is broken on Internet Explorer 7.0. We haven't had a chance to fix it and may never.
Frankly, if at all possible, you should upgrade to Internet Explorer 9 or use Chrome or Firefox instead. Any of those will help not only Green Felt, but also every other site you visit.
