    The red cross which I would expect to use to close the score board does not.

    Is the close button of the screen? I tried to keep that from happening, but I suspect it still can. Would you take a screen shot next time this happens? It would help me figure out how to keep it from happening in the future. Also try rotating your phone/tablet when this happens. That might make it fit better.
