With the "NORMAL CARDS" button readily available the question is why? Aside from your desire to see the change
that is.
@terpteacher you only arrived here two minutes ago. You might get used to the place before you start issuing royal decrees... Hint: if you look around you'll find the solution to this issue.
And @terpteacher...as Westley said in The Princess Bride..."Get used to disappointment." Too many of us love the holiday cards. And the Normal Card option is there for the few who don't.
i find it ironic that a person choosing a site with games and puzzles, is stumped by such a simple problem, especially when the answer is right there in plain sight 🙃

I also neglected to read all the info at the top the first time the holiday cards appeared. I'm sure it will be the same with others. I didn't complain quite as loudly, more as a confused beginner. And it was a request.
I figured it out all by myself- took about 10sec.

Not to beat a dying horse but @sierrarose , as an IT professional,
what percentage of users when confronted with a new screen actually read all of it before proceeding? Like the famous "Do not
proceed until you have read all the instructions" and the last page says "Do nothing". I am one of those who did not read "All the aforesaid instructions" By the way I love the new turban.
This is what it says on the Request Feature page...
"Post here to request new games or new features for existing games. Let your imagination run wild."
I am going to delete my last statement and try to be nice. When I let my imagination run wild...well it can get me in trouble. I'll just say this...Let's try to be nice to the new people...after the past year I think a little patience and understanding could benefit us all. Also in most of the country right now we are under some harsh weather conditions. In Texas where the temperature is in the high 90's to low 100's most of the year we woke up to low single digit temperatures, 6 inches of snow and about 40% of our city with no power. Let's try to be kind.
?? New Feature!! "Blink" or otherwise highlight the INFAMOUS "Normal Cards" on holidays/etc - turn off the highlight when the
player turns off the offensive colors/colours. Turn off the
highlight if the player starts play with the offensive etc.

My thought would be is to display the "normal" cards and let those that want "holiday" cards to turn them on. Or...
We could just be more tolerant of those that complain about those weird colored cards. Or...
Maybe we could just skip over the posts about holiday card complaints. I think that is what I will do...skip over the holiday card complaints and those that are complaining about those that complain over the holiday cards. I am not sure which of those that are complaining are the most saddening to me.
Complaining is a vicious cycle...Here I am complaining about the complainers that are complaining about the original complainers. Soon someone will come along that will complain about me complaining...and the beat goes on!
Or just read the FAQ.
