To @jim and @david – Every time I visit the forum in a new browser session it takes 10 or 15 seconds for the page to come up. After that it's instant, until the next new session.

I agree that 15 seconds is way too long. I'm seeing a full reload of the forum transfer 2.61MB in 2.3s and a subsequent (cached) reload transfer 24kB take 600ms. I'm close (<100mi) to the server (which is in Los Angeles) on a 200Mbit connection. Where are you located?

For comparison, Sea Haven Towers is 1MB and takes 700ms to load uncached and is 13kB and 600ms cached.
