    Whenever you log out of the Green Felt web site, a little piece of text called a "cookie" is deposited on your device that contains a small amount of information about that particular visit to the site. The next time you log in, that little hunk of text is transmitted to the server. Exactly how cookies are used depends on the site, but (having noticed this occurrence myself) I infer that Green Felt's cookies contain the last game that you were playing and you neither won nor clicked on the Give Up button. It assumes that you would like to take another crack at that particular game. Again, this is only an inference, so please don't treat it as authoritative.
