starting asteroids with "z" moves screen

On the rare occasion when I lose asteroids, I start the game over by pressing "z". But this moves my view of the screen so that only part of the playing field is visible. This means that as the large rocks are beginning to threaten my brave triangular ship, I am not paying attention to the ship but instead to scrolling the screen back up so I can see the full playing field. This leaves my ship vulnerable for a couple of seconds; on occasion my ship is destroyed during this window.
