Make the Klondike "auto-complete" an on/off toggle switch which completely turns-off all autocomplete features.
A large part of the game of Klondike is to challenge the player to see legal moves as they are exposed. Many times the player does not, and this is the point of the game. When I click on the green felt background, in the Greenfelt version of Klondike, the Greenfelt program will play cards I was unaware that I could play. If I aim for the top card in a tableau pile, but miss my target, and click the face-down card, the Greenfelt game will move the tableau pile, play the face down card, and turn the next card over, preventing me from overlooking that move. If I miss my target and hit the neighboring tableau pile, the Greenfelt game will move three or more cards, in a complex way, and then move the incorrectly clicked tableau pile. All of this auto-play removes one of the main elements of the game. It is as though this game is not Klondike but rather the game Mouse-Accuracy. Any error on my part, in positioning the mouse, results in a severe punishment--the destruction of my pleasure in trying to be observant and to not miss any possible move on_my_own.
The auto-move feature actually makes profoundly bad moves, e.g. it will play the only black-5, in the stock, to its foundation, when the other black-5 is already in a tableau pile under a red-4, and the other red-4 is face up as the top a tableau pile. This move means all the face down cards in that pile is permanently unreachable. The only saving grace is that the Greenfelt Klondike has an "undo" feature.
I am asking for this because I love this version, since it does allow the player to move all of the cards on their own, provided the player moves the mouse pointer in an error-free way, and it allows replay of the same game, which turns Klondike into a wonderful puzzle game. Can I find a way to win by remembering where the cards are, and playing in a different sequence at play points where there are two choices?
