Scores are in numerical order. Specifically, the high score table is sorted by score. When there is a tie (which there almost always is when you beat a game), then the scores are sorted by either elapsed time or number of moves (click the "moves" or "time" column to change). If there's still a tie, then it's sorted by moves or time, whichever hasn't been considered yet.
