    When said aloud, the X is CKS and the S sound shifts to the second word, muffles the H? Or am I just a proofreader, looking for trouble?

    Cox is a coxswain, or steersman, of a racing shell. A hucker or hukker is someone who fails spectacularly at an athletic feat. I suppose a cox hukker then is someone who demonstrates particular ineptitude at boating, perhaps by capsizing his boat and dunking his crew. :)
