    It seems to happen on the odd occasion, I once played a game in -1000 moves.

    Wow, that's kind of interesting, actually. That person got today's game of the day randomly back in 2009. Apparently we had a bug in that time frame where we were sending bad moves lists back to the server. I've manually corrected his moves to "83", which is what it should have been.
