What is the point of the 'first score not their fastest' feature when players like aletaster have multiple scores in the high score list. Obviously, their first score is not their fastest. Surely the rule should apply to everyone or it is pointless

It applies to games that have the same score—if you keep replaying to get a higher score you will see multiple entries. The setting kicks in when someone is playing the same game over and over and getting the exact same score (usually winning) but with faster and faster times.
