Unable to Edit my own messages

When viewing a list of Bug Reports (or any other discussion category), the ones I created show me a little cog icon on the far right (beside the star icon).  Clicking this presents option to Edit. Clicking Edit takes me to ... http://forum.greenfelt.net/vanilla/post/editdiscussion/4-digit-number   which displays "Page Not Found"

When viewing that same list, if I click on the title of my discussion, I'm taken directly to it, but in read only view. I'm allowed to add a comment just like anyone else who reads it, but I can't edit the text of my original message nor add an image to it.

If we lose our ability to edit our own messages shortly after creating them, then I think the edit icon should disappear from view once the that time frame has expired.
OR
If we are permitted to edit our own messages at any time, please fix this link.
