Why can't I see the other players listed on the scores?

It tells me I placed (blank) out of (blank) but doesn't always show me the other players

    The other players are probably anonymous. They are in the high score table, but we don't show them (since it's boring to see a wall of players named "anonymous").

    Thanks for the reply.  I just asked the same question again before I found this.  What a great game. Can you tell me anything about how opponents are determined?  Is it everyone who begins their games at the same time?

    Generally, yes. There is a "game of the day" that we give you first, that almost everyone plays. After that you get a randomized set of games based off the hour. That way you end up seeing other people play. If we just did straight random games you'd probably never cross the path of anyone else, despite us having about 1,000,000 games played per day.
