Freecell occasionally strands a lower value card in the tableaux. For example, 4 Kings at the top of the piles and a 6 of clubs in the tableaux. Yet, game isn't over.

where are you. I have tried for days and cannot find your game of Freecell?
I've had this happen numerous times. The only way I have found to clear it is to reload the page.
If I am not mistaken, this is a glitch that is visual only. The card is not really there, but the system puts it there. As I understand it, they have tried to fix it, but have not been able to so far.
This is a problem apart from the system problems we are currently having.
