Is the scoring method for Hopeless explained somewhere?
Probably, but I don't remember where :-). In any case, it's number of blocks removed squared times number of colors (but only if number of colors is > 2).
Unfortunately, that isn't very balanced. It's easier to get a big score when playing with 3 colors. It's unclear to us what a better scoring method might be, but if anyone has ideas, we're open...
Would it be possible to keep it simple and score similar to Free Cell? i.e. time taken to clear blocks and number of moves. Diverent levels to have own score boards. I reckon this would work if only complete clearance of blocks was scored - maybe a 'Hard luck, try again' !! message for failure to completely clear.
