    This is something we've tried before, but we really didn't like it. I found the constant tick of the timer to be very distracting and stressful when trying to solve a game—when you're scanning a game for moves the changing numbers realyl draw your eye toward them and off of the game. Counterintuitively, Jim and I both found we could get faster scores when there was no timer, since we weren't being distracted by it.
