Three turn is the usual layout but klondike is odd with the stack under the cards that are to be turned.

Not a fan of the new Klondike layout, very weird to look at and I find it a bit offputting and affects my concentration.

It's based on your browser window. If you make your browser window wider it'll use the same layout as the 3 card Klondike (if you can't make it wider, try making it shorter). And if you make it really wide there's an entirely new layout there (for phones in landscape mode)—that one will be even more jarring, but after playing it on my phone all last night (while watching tv) I really like it.

A benefit of the gap-less layout is that it should choose slightly bigger cards (though that kinda depends on your specific window size, etc).
