The blue card backs being used today represent Scotland. Today is the birthday of Robert Burns (25 January 1759 – 21 July 1796) and, besides many people in Scotland, people in various parts of the world celebrate this day with a traditional Scottish supper enjoyed by any guests, to remember him and his legacy.
They will, no doubt, be saying his Selkirk Grace before the meal:
Some Folk hae meat that canna eat,
And some can eat that want it;
But we hae meat, and we can eat,
So let the Lord be Thanket!
