As I am only playing for fun, is there a way to switch off the score board, so it won't appear each time I finish a game ?

That is a great idea!
Does no one agree ? Are we the only two asking for this feature ?
Frequently I just ignore it. Or rather than hit "Give Up", just go to "New Game" instead.
