Hamburger menu is too wide, obscures login

The main menu under the three horizontal lines ("hamburger") runs full screen. It doesn't need to; the contents are narrow. When that menu is up the screen that collects login info is half hidden behind it. Maybe consider making the menu the width of its contents? Also: would be nice if the menu was dismissed by Esc so you didn't have to go hunt out that little X.
