When you're playing with 3 or more colors, it's number-of-blocks-removed squared times number-of-colors. So if you click a cluster of 5 blocks and you are playing on 3 colors, then you'll get 553 or 75 points.
For 2 colors, it's number-of-blocks-removed squared divided by 25. 1 color is the same but divided by 50. 1 color is a joke and it's always 200*200/50 or 800. Although I just discovered a bug in hopeless where it's off by one when it calculates the number of blocks removed. So on a 1 color game it's been 199*199/50 or 792.
I'm going to fix that off-by-one error, but it'll affect scoring going forward. I'll make a blog post about it so more people see it.
