I have found that if I close the error message, hit the button to show high scores, and hit "retry" a few times, it will eventually show my score. Hopefully they'll fix the problem soon-ish; I am otherwise enjoying the site.

Cannot get final scores when game is completed. It tells me that there is a problem with the backend server. This has happend many times lately.
