    I think...The "THING" comes free to you along with the free monthly subscription and no advertisements.

    I think...For 19.99 and the addition of advertisements you can opt out of the "THING".

    According to a post by David awhile back: "we're not inclined to remove the auto save/restore in general (since it solves a real problem)." If you click on "give up" before going on to a new game, it will not "restore". Otherwise, all you have to do is click on new game. Not such a hard thing to do.
