Goodness, all's well on the site. What is the exact problem?
Freecell. No scores are there. Nothing saved. Everyone is gone.
We've not spent a ton of time trying to recover the games yet. We have recovered about 12 million so far. But I wasn't happy with how many games in that time period (just a month or so) that we couldn't recover. At the moment it's just a drop in the bucket of our 6 billion games in the database.
To do it properly we need to see if we can patch up some of the corruption so that the old db can be dumped without constant errors and then we can focus on importing the data into the new database. That requires us getting a bunch of domain knowledge about how to work around and fix the corruption and we haven't had a giant swath of time to get all that in our heads.
On the plus side, since we got the database back up we've recorded about 30 million new games. So I wouldn't say "no scores are there"… I suppose it depends where you are looking for them? Ah, it looks like you're one of the players that likes to just increment the game number—that's going to be pretty barren for a while. If you let the "new game" button choose the game number for you then you'll encounter more people (we give people playing at the same time the same list of game numbers to play so the high score table doesn't look so empty).
I'm glad you know what you're doing, because I sure couldn't figure that out! I'm just happy to be able to spend some time relaxing with the games. Thank you for your efforts. I do enjoy the site!
