Receive messages while playing

Not sure if it's possible or feasible but would be nice to be able to play games, receive messages or notifications of messages, put game on pause, read and/or reply to message, then unpause and continue playing.

anglais in upper right on game screen left click on wheel , left click preferences , then on under Notification Preferences. under general there is several commands on each one click check mark on all right column . in left column click on e-mail column click on notify me of private messages and when people comment on my bookmarked discussions , that is all you need now when you are playing you will have a pop up in lower left when say I or anyone message you it will show in your notifications and you can click on ur user name and click notifications, to open message, on the bottom left in high lighted green click Save Preferences , I hope this helps if you need more will try to help,
I think anglais may mean that mid-game if you want to do a message you can't without leaving the game.

. Your info solves half my suggestion and Jabba caught onto the other half, thank you Jabba (how did you get to be such a good player?).
I get around problem of having to close a game to go to forum just by the way I log on.
First, I log on to the Freecell site which opens with the game site, sign in and then open the forum.
Second, I open a new page on the computer, log on to Freecell, it again opens with the game site. You don't have to sign in the second time because you already signed in for the first page.
If I start playing a game and receive a notification, I put the game on pause then reduce the page which goes to the Dock (for Macs, PC's am not sure where it goes, Ask Graeme
). The forum is already open, I take care of my notifications, bring up my game then unpause.
It appears that this technique will work fine for the games site but the forum may be a different kettle of fish. We can read posts on the forum in this mode but not receive new or updated posts. I always wondered why I couldn't receive new posts in real time. I think, and I'm not a tech person just guessing, that the forum page has to be refreshed and this is probably done by closing and reopening the forum. Don't know if there is a way around this. I do know Homedoggys private message was received in this mode.
Have any suggestions.
